Anyone know anything about NGOs? Help me!?

An NGO is a Non-Government Organization that provides government-type services to the public on a non-profit basis. For instance, a non-profit health clinic that sees patients for free or sharply reduced fees would be a NGO. A for-profit health clinic operating next door would not be, since it is providing those services to make a profit. Samaritans Purse, Feed the Children, Oxfam, Doctors Without Borders, the Red Cross and various other groups are NGOs or have departments that are NGOs. An NGO that works against genocide is Amnesty International.
